Paper Puppets

By cutting rolling and sticking brightly coloured paper, everybody can experience the joy of making their very own talking puppet,

The activity can easily be themed.  Pirate Puppets seem to be very popular.

(paper puppets are based on an original design by Jim Morris)

Shadow Stories

Simple techniques allow everyone to make shadow puppets and use then to tell exciting stories of their own devising

An excellent activity for developing speaking and listening skills

Perfect for those looking at light and shadow in science who may also wish to combine this with history or literacy topics

Secial topic-based Shadow Sessions include:
Greek Myths, The Fire of London, Peter Pan
These give the children a 'hands on' experience in acting out the stories with ready made puppets, with the option to also make and use figures of their own

Wooden Spoon Puppets

Perfect for Nursery and Reception.

'I aim to inspire young minds and show everbody how to make, and make use of, puppets'

'I avoid doing that which teachers can do themselves, and concentrate on bringing an extra touch of specialist expertise'
